Tymere
While on leave from Iraq, Army Spc. James Garish approached Jamie to ask if he could help sponsor a dream for a child. At about the same time, Jamie learned that Tymere’s lifelong dream was to go camping. Tymere was 6 years old at the time. Tymere suffers from Marflan syndrome which, among other things, causes defects in the heart valves and aorta. With the help of Army Spc. Garish, Jamie’s Dream Team was able to fulfill Tymere’s dream. Arrangements were made for Tymere and his family to spend a week camping and fishing in the Laurel Mountains of Western Pennsylvania. Tymere was thrilled with his new fishing rod, and he proclaimed that he was “going to catch a fish even bigger than him” referring to Army Spc. Garish. As happy as Tymere was to have his lifelong dream fulfilled, Army Spc. Garish was equally, if not more, happy to help Jamie’s Dream Team give it!
